How to change the DNS on your device to improve reception?

When your IPTV device is connected to the Internet via WiFi or Ethernet, it uses the DNS servers of your Internet Service Provider. These DNS servers allow for the mapping between IP addresses and the domain names of our IPTV server. Your ISP’s servers are not necessarily the fastest or most reliable and can sometimes cause latency issues and stuttering. You can instead use one of these DNS servers:

  • Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) – recommended
  • Google (8.8.8.8)

On each device, it is possible to change the DNS and replace the one used by default by your ISP with Google’s, which is faster. Here are some examples of how to change the DNS:

On LG Smart TV:

Menu => Network => Wi-Fi Settings = Advanced Settings

IP Address: (leave it as it is)

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 (preferably leave it as it is by default)

Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DNS Server: 1.1.1.1
